I thought I had been it but the links were prior to the forum upgrade :( and don't work.

There is a good thread somewhere explaining what to do when the beer has late hops, if you would post the link I'd appreciate it.

Thanks. aamcle

Wheat malt vs. Raw wheat

I've been digging around but can't seem to find much about this. What's the difference (taste, yield, ebc etc) between malted and raw, unmalted wheat malt?

Electric 3 vessel brewing system for sale - $750 neg
Everything you need to get started on all-grain brewing. Very modular system so would suit someone wanting to make it their own and maybe give it some updates. Can be used as a standard 3 vessel HERMS rig or a 2 vessel set up similar to this: NANO-X: Vol. 2 - 125L NANO 2V Twin. Sad to see it go as it was my first build, but now I brew for work so...

Fermenter King Jr - review or feedback

Hi I was thinking of getting one, even just for storage with neoprene cover. I was watching a review and the guy said it leaks through pvr? He didn't say which company. Are there 2 versions now from different companies? According this site Keg King is 540mm and I saw dimensions in another drawing - looked very similar and was 586mm - but that was bottom to post top? So 540mm might not to top of post. Anyhow as I understand there is a new cap with mini lid, so locks inside and pressure keeps...

With the roll out of the Grainfather Units imminent in Australia, there's bound to be some questions raised and issues encountered along the way.

As per the other similar threads: (Borrowed from Idzy and Chappo's sticky threads in this forum)

  • To stay on topic where reasonable (a little friendly banter is ok)
  • Purely on procedures, techniques, brewing techniques, equipment, technology and set ups.

I have a question about the water in Torquay. A buddy of mine has just moved down there and has tried to get some info from Barwon water - but the report doesn't have sodium or chloride and is apparently high in sulfites. The couple of pale ales he has brewed he says have an astringent bitterness (no change in recipe from when he was up in Melbourne).

Does anyone have a...
