Volume 365 | August 13, 2021 Jim Beam Launching DTC Subscription Service  Beam Suntory is making a bet on direct-to-consumer (DTC) subscription services. Its subsidiary Jim Beam is launching Barreled & Boxed, a direct-to-consumer (DTC) subscription service that will deliver two premium whiskeys every quarter. This is the second subscription service from Beam Suntory with fellow Beam-Suntory brand Maker’s Mark announcing Whisky Drop in December of 2020. Barreled & Boxed will launch on August 25 and only consumers in Kentucky and Washington D.C. will be eligible to sign up based on existing DTC laws. The service will feature everything from rare finds to limited releases, with the initial shipment featuring Beam’s Little Book Whiskey Series, including the recently launched Little Book Chapter 5 and a rebottling of the 2017 release, Little Book Chapter 1.
