Also as we feel that we have a team of staff with a fairly wide range of experience especially in the keg dispensing hardware field we feel that this can also be an area for customers to ask us about specific advice on how to use gear. | Can You Make a Nitro Tap From a Regular Tap? Posted: 19 Apr 2021 12:42 AM PDT I was looking up on how a nitro/stout tap works and (there may be more to it than this but) it seems that you're just pushing the beer through an orifice plate at high pressure to get the creamy affect. My first thought was can you include an orifice plate into a regular tap? I know you can get screw on tap tips that include a orifice plate but I was wondering if anyone has done it to a tap that doesn't have this option? Is it possible to make you own orifice plate and install it at one end... Can You Make a Nitro Tap From a Regular Tap? |

| Ballistic Black Forrest Birthday Cake Stout recipe Posted: 18 Apr 2021 10:03 PM PDT Hi all, recently I was inspired to brew up a stout that closely resembled the Ballistic Birthday Cake Stout. If anyone was interested in brewing it, I thought I'd share the recipe to save you the time trying to develop it from scratch. Overall the first impression is quite close but I'm yet to do a side by side to compare my recipe to the real deal. I hope you enjoy, I will post a photo when it's ready to drink. | Keg Carb Pressure Vs Serving Pressure Posted: 18 Apr 2021 06:21 PM PDT I tried to find something on this but nothig quite answered my questions. I used the keg carb calculator to get the my keg pressure which turned out to be 0.45bar (6.5psi) but I seem to hear a lot that people use serving pressure of 12-14psi. So I was a little curious, is there a difference of is the carb pressure just the same as the serving pressure for that beer? |
