I've decided to get back into all grain brewing and was wondering where some of the best (price and service) places to buy grain in the Sydney area. Looking to start of small with single batches of cracked grain delivered (or pick up if close enough.) Looking for a reliable supplier which I can keep coming back to. Sorry again. | Posted: 20 Aug 2021 04:12 PM PDT All, I recently brewed a ripper NEIPA which I was super happy (hoppy) with on opening the first bottle, about 2 weeks in…. The aroma and flavour was stunning and as good as I could get in a craft beer bar….. However, now about 2 months old and all the aroma is gone, the flavours are muted, colour is darker and overall I am disappointed, it's still drinkable (not sour), but I am wondering where all my hard work has gone? l reuse brown PET bottles, well sanitized and they are still gassed... Bottle Aging- how long? |
| Posted: 20 Aug 2021 12:55 PM PDT I recently bought a new fridge & relocated my old one into the garage to dedicate to beer for cold storage and potentially lagering. It was running fine as an indoor fridge but seems to be struggling outdoors with temperatures ranging from 6-12 degrees, which for Melbourne winter isn't much better than ambient. I've tried adjusting thermostat to no avail & I'm fairly confident it's sealing well. It is nearly empty at the moment so I thought the low thermal mass and a small leak might be the... | FS: Bris (pickup only) Bulk base malts and spec malts - SOLD Posted: 19 Aug 2021 07:21 PM PDT Hi all, moving in a few weeks and the brewery is likely to be in storage for 6-12 months, so might as well move on my consumables. Malts listed below. All sealed in airtight containers with the spec malts vac-sealed. You'll need to byo bags, buckets, whatever for the base malts as I'm taking my drums with me, but the spec malts are all vac-sealed in bags - I've discarded any bags where the seal has failed.
