I have 2 x fermenting fridges for sale. Both fridges come with 25L drum fermenters and airlocks.

The fridges chill to zero degrees no problem. I've brewed dozens of beers in these fridges without issue.

The 25L fermenters are the largest that'll fit into these fridges. Also, corny kegs won't fit as they're too tall.

These fridges can sit on top of each other and take up very little room in the garage.

I'm selling due to upgrading to Fermzilla fermenters.

Hello brewers,

in an effort to improve my brewing, I'm monitoring PH. my home water has high ph and I adjust using lactic acid.

I have been adding grains to the mash water (only mineral adjustments made) and let it sit at 30c for 30min. then check PH. adjustments are made at this point

I've noticed however after hops are added to the boil, the ph appears to go up. is this common. do hops add to the akalinity of the water ?

I have been having issues with my ferments taking a long time to finish (3+ weeks). I assume this is sluggish yeast. I always make 2L starters (liquid yeast) and active fermentation takes off within 24hrs, which I believe suggests I'm not under pitching. Lots of rapid airlock activity for the first 2-3 days but seems to taper off to one bubble every 3-4 seconds for weeks after. Not trusting airlock activity I also measure gravity which confirms the slow finish to fermentation. For example, a...

Up for sale is my plate chiller and brewers hardware trub filter.

The plate chiller is duda diesel brand, model, B3-36A 30 Plate, link below. I used a pond pump with this to pump ice water through, I could get a single batch to lager temps in one pass to the fermenter, ale temps in one pass for a double batch straight to the fermenter. After nearly 10 years since my last brew I thought I'd dig out the equipment and get brewing. But I'm a bit puzzled and hope for some advice please.

It's a bog standard Muntons IPA bitter, I used the bundled yeast and 1kg of Youngs enhancer. Initially the OG was 1.05. The instructions said it should be 1.04 so I watered it down to 1.04. I realise now that's the difference between normal supermarket sugar and enhancer. The instructions also say FG should be 1.005.

Afternoon,

beginner here. The more I've been delving into the world of AG videos / research etc, it has led me to wonder how important water treatment is. I normally just use tap water (I believe it's quite hard in my area). Is this a problem?

Also I plan to fill my kettle tonight and leave the water in ready for switch on tommorow afternoon, will this give me any problems

Firstly, I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I have recently built my first kegerator, just need to clean, sanitise and brew something to put in it!

I know I can use my co2 to push the cleaner and sanitiser through my lines. But I happen to have an old, drill powered pump (see below), firstly, could I use this to circulate cleaner/sanitiser through my lines? If so, is it worth the effort to save a little co2? Or should I not be so tight?

California Winery Sales Increase to $40 Billion in 2020

California wineries saw sales volumes increase 2% to 279.2 million cases with an estimated retail value of $40 billion in 2020, according to a statement from Wine Institute. In the U.S. alone, California shipped 240.3 million cases and accounted for 55% of the total domestic wine market. 

Overall, the U.S. remains the world’s largest wine market, with wine shipments from California, other states and foreign producers reaching 435.1 million cases in 2020. The top performing varieties for the year included Sauvignon Blanc (+26.3%), rosé (+23.9%), and Pinot Noir (+18.5%).

“As consumers shifted nearly all their drinking occasions to at-home consumption, alcohol’s growth in off-premise channels included wine value increasing by 18% and volume increasing by 12.5%,” added Danelle Kosmal, vice president, Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol Practice Area. “Sparkling wine also outperformed table wine by a 9% margin, growing 25% and 16% respectively.”
