Posted: 02 Apr 2021 05:43 PM PDT I had the AstraZeneca jab over 24 hours ago and i haven't yet felt any side effects (fingers crossed i wont) ass some members have reported they have had mild and quite serious side effects i thought it worth finding out which vaccine you had and how bad the side effects were if you had any. I have listed these as they seem to be the ones most of us have had. AstraZeneca BioNTech/Pfizer' Moderna |
iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer Posted: 02 Apr 2021 05:41 PM PDT This came up in another thread and blawford asked information about this. Rather than continue discussion in that thread I thought I'd create a new one. All the information is available here - https://github.com/universam1/iSpindel Items needed

Mashing at around 45°C Would it work? Posted: 02 Apr 2021 05:18 PM PDT Hey everyone, good evening. I was on the phone earlier with a supplier of dried Koji who was helping me out with my koji beer recipe that I have been tweaking before the 2nd attempt and my updating the recipe discussion post on this forum. Anyway he told me the amylase enzymes that are in the koji work best below 50°c so something around 45°C would be acceptable if using during the mashing. i would normally mash around 65°C. Could I successfully mash at 45°C if sparged after. Would I... Mashing at around 45°C Would it work? |
Posted: 02 Apr 2021 04:52 PM PDT Way back in time, month one BV (before virus lockdown), there was a chap after a "Victorian Bitter" recipe. The original thread was >here<. There was a few suggestions, but I pointed out "bitter" didn't appear much until mid-20th century after Mild and Porter relinquished their grip on the number one beer spot. But digging deep did reveal some "Victorian Bitter" recipes and I made it my quest to brew... Victorian Bitter |
Posted: 02 Apr 2021 03:48 PM PDT So I guess I'm rather new here so I hope it's ok to start a thread here, I think it might be more useful than the written records I keep. Today trying a stepped starter for the first time since the packs of Lallemand diamond yeast I have are not even remotely close to the pitch rate I'm looking for the two lagers I'm looking to do this weekend. I had thought of just doing one but if I'm going to tie up my fermenting fridge for weeks at a low temperature I thought I might as well make best... Anna's Brewdays |
Why do peeps still keep peddling Posted: 02 Apr 2021 02:59 PM PDT The 5G and corona virus arguement? I mean omg, do peeps just literally take what bloke said down the pub as gospel these days?? Rofl!! Peeps have a really powerful tool to find out about radiation and how it works. Yet it seems some would literally pay to kiss the doods feet and take everything he says as truth. /facepalm |
Posted: 02 Apr 2021 02:36 PM PDT I want to buy several items from A. L. Including a grain basket, has anybody bought lately since the new import rules have been in place, and has anyone been stung with extra costs? |
Posted: 02 Apr 2021 02:18 PM PDT Hi Guys new to this so any tips would be most helpful, my home brew IPA has just finished 1st fermentation we will be putting it into a corny keg, can this be done without adding sugar and how long should we leave it before pressuring it....many thanks. |
Help with metallic kegged beer Posted: 02 Apr 2021 02:16 PM PDT Hi guys I am new to kegging and need some help, I made a pilsner from a kit which I have done before but this time under pressure and then closed transferred, now set at 15psi and first pint tasted decent although a little bit of yeast and now very metallic, what could I of done wrong? Also it is a new reconditioned keg? |
Posted: 02 Apr 2021 01:55 PM PDT I recently subscribed and have watched quite a few movies but not many series i know there is another thread about series on TV but i was hoping to keep this one for Netflix users.
