Volume 322 | June 14, 2021 A Look at Memorial Day Weekend Winners  Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of the summer and retailers will look to buying patterns from this weekend to act as a signal for seasonal trends. The four top subcategories this Memorial Day were whiskey, vodka, tequila, and RTD cocktails, according to data from Drizly's Bev Alc Insights platform. RTDs were the big winner, up significantly from eighth place last Memorial Day. Hard Seltzer drove the growth for the beer category, growing to 28% of share in the category from 25% last year.
