Nielsen IQ: Off-Premise Sales Slow as Consumer Habits Shift
Alcohol sales are shifting back to the on-premise as more people return to bars and restaurants. As a result, off-premise sales for alcohol are declining compared to the same period last year. For the week ending May 1, off-premise alcohol sales decline by 8.7%, according to Nielsen IQ. Though, compared to the same week in 2019, off-premise alcohol sales were up 17%.
