The disruption COVID-19 caused for the on-premise, supply chain, and events in the beverage alcohol industry is well documented, but what about distribution deals? Liquor.com explores the challenges brand owners faced with distributor relations during the pandemic including paused market launches, lack of interest for adding new brands, and distributors who cancelled existing partnerships.
“The pandemic was the ultimate case study in dealing with the unexpected,” says Ten to One founder Marc Farrell. “However, the plan is to now come out stronger on the other side, with a more robust view of distribution channels, different markets and the customer. We feel that we’re already hitting that goal.”
