Police investigating a sexual assault on a teenage girl on a train between Liverpool and Blackpool have released images of 3 men they want to talk to.
@BTP say the girl was attacked at 8pm on Sunday as she and her friends were going home from a shopping trip to Liverpool.

German beer suppliers

Posted: 11 Aug 2021 07:34 PM PDT

Hi
I stumbled across a thread last year where there were links to a couple of German beer suppliers in Germany.

For the life of me I can't find them now. Can anyone tell me the sites please

Maximum fruit question

Posted: 11 Aug 2021 06:24 PM PDT

Just started getting in to all this and been trying recipes from a variety of places.

Please can someone tell me about the maximum quantity of fruit that will work in a recipe

Specifically, I see a lot of PLUM wine recipes that call for 3 - 4lbs of plums for a gallon of wine but could I use, for example, 8lb of plums and
still only make a gallon by reducing how much water I add?
Does too much fruit over power the yeast?
Would it need larger or smaller quantities of sugar?

In relation to...

Out of date yeast

Posted: 11 Aug 2021 03:07 PM PDT

Hi, has anyone used out of date yeast?
I have 3 packs of Lallemand East Coast that expired in June. Seems a shame to chuck it. Obviously it's been kept in the fridge.

Kegerator Build

If i were to buy the same fridge, would it fit a corny keg, possibly two so I can convert to a Kegerator?

Citra, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin.

I'm going to another can pimp and I'm hoping to use 100g of Citra and Mosaic with 50g Nelson Sauvin in a two stage dry hop. Having never used NS I'm wandering about the amount and hoping for a little advice. Cheers.

What did you brew today?

Some people may not want to write out a full brewday report but just say what they brewed.

So what did you brew today?

I made a 'bit's and bobs stout' to use up the odds and ends of grain I had

Vegan finings.

Afternoon,

I've not fined a beer in some time, well cold side at least. I'm not vegan personally but I have some guests imminent that are. And having just acquired a beer engine I promised to l them some cask ale as they very rarely get the chance to drink it. I've knocked up a American pale based on the proper job recipe and it tastes great with a nice bit of body (1.012
), so should be perfect from a beer engine.

Usually I keg and have time to crash chill, condition and keep very cold...

Free hops to collect - Scotland Central Belt - Now offering postage (details in post #6)

The very generous Dave Lannigan at Ride Brewing Co has offered up some spare hops for collection, these are whole leaf hops. I've already filled all that I could from the kind offer from Glasgow home brewers facebook group. Dave apparently has more and has offered for me to collect them. Now I already have plenty but if there were takers from Central Scotland that would like some free whole leaf hops then I'd be willing to collect a few bales and if you brought your own containers you could...

Clean old beer bottles.

Posted: 11 Aug 2021 12:06 PM PDT

I have been given some old Boots beer bottles that have a load of crud in the bottom. I've tried to clean them with; a bottle brush, soaked in Oxy plus, washing up liquid and bleach. All to no avail, have managed to get most of it off but still some remains. Any suggestions?
