Delayed Until Monday... Kegerator Prices Increase

Our costs have increased 10-35% on kegerators and components. We'll be increasing prices tomorrow, so if you've been waiting, now is the time to buy.

Kegerator Price Increase Delayed Until Monday

We were unable to get our updated pricing loaded this week, so there are still a couple more days to grab a kegerator if you've been on the fence.  Our new kegerator pricing will go into effect at the end of the day on Monday, May 10th.

As you may or may not know, inflation has been picking up (to say the least). From increased materials costs to increased shipping and labor costs, products are quickly becoming more 📈 expensive to manufacture and sell. We've held off as long as we could, but as of Monday, May 10th 2021 @ 11:59pm PST, we'll be increasing pricing on all of the kegerators that we offer. Over the past few years, we've held our pricing pretty firm as our margins have 📉 decreased, but the time has finally come where we need to increase the prices on all kegerators that we carry.  More info below if you care to read.

If you've been debating the purchase of a kegerator, now is a good time to act.

2021 Kegerators at 2017 Prices...

We've really tried to keep our prices on kegerators down, but starting tomorrow, we'll be implementing our first blanket price increase since we started doing business over a decade ago.

📌 Where are the price increases coming from? Why?

As we mentioned above, we've tried to keep our kegerator pricing as fixed as possible over the past few years. We've seen our margins continuously decrease as we've absorbed small price increases to certain components here and there, but over the past few months, prices have increased for just about everything across the board - raw materials, labor, shipping, etc. We've seen just about every component in the kegerator increase in cost, from the fridge itself to the beverage hoses to the regulators, towers and faucets. Below is a direct quote from one of our vendors (we've received similar letters from just about all of our vendors now)
Over the past 6 months, costs have risen by up to 70% across metals, plastics, and packaging materials, without exception. While we have been able to mitigate and absorb many of these increases, the dramatic escalations have impacted manufacturing costs such that we must pass on increases to our customer base.
We hope this is the only price increase that we'll be making to kegerators in the near future and we do encourage you to act now if this is something tat you've been debating.

If you're wondering if other products will be increasing in price as well, the answer is yes. Kegerators were just first on our list to update due to the number components that go into them and the affect that it has had on our operating costs and margins.

If you have any questions, feel free to respond directly to this email. One of our owners will get back to you as quickly as possible.

If you've made it this far, thanks for reading, thanks for understanding and thanks for supporting our small, family-owned business.

🍻 Cheers

P.S. We're sorry this wasn't an On Sale Now email... we'll hopefully bring those back sooner than later!

How much dextrose and lactose to add to cider?

Posted: 07 May 2021 07:09 PM PDT

Hi all,

I am about to do my second batch of cider (23 litres), my first was from a Mangrove Jacks pouch, but this one will be using Coles Apple Juice. I have mangrove jacks m02cider yeast and will be fermenting at 20 degrees. My questions are
1- to get around 8-9% abv how much extra dextrose should I add to the fermentation?
2- when I want to semi-sweeten it at the end, how much lactose should I add, and will the taste before bottling be roughly the taste after sitting in the bottles for a...

Gambius Honey Malt

Posted: 07 May 2021 06:34 PM PDT

Anyone out there that has used Gambius honey malt additions to their brews? I made an ale based on 70% pale schooner and 30% voodoo. It's a slightly boring brew, nothing really wrong and with that amount of Voodoo I didn't think it would really need much in the way of other additions. I was thinking about doing again and maybe even cutting back on the Voodoo and adding some of the honey malt to it, but haven't used it before. Any thoughts would be appreciated?
