Posted: 25 May 2021 04:38 AM PDT I was 2/3 of the way through a normal batch of Tallies. Then I get one bottle that just froths away as soon as I opened it. So I fill my Glass with Froth, and quickly have to grab a 2nd and then a 3rd I'm left with about 1/4 a bottle when the Froth stopped Can anyone give me an explanation as to why one bottle might do this ?

Posted: 25 May 2021 04:01 AM PDT Hey, Im going to do my first batch of Ginger Beer. And I have been looking up different recipes and have noticed that everyone is straining the ginger out of the wort before fermenting. I will be using the Fermzilla for fermenting. Wont all the solids drop to the bottom, so straining is not necessary? Or does it all float on the top, or stay in stasis even after a week in the fermenter? |

Posted: 25 May 2021 12:13 AM PDT Has anyone made a high alcohol content scrumpy using turbo yeast (according to the makers.) Tasted some at nearly 17% on the weekend that was sensational. It was then aged in an oak barrel. More like a smooth fortified wine but they assured me it wasn't. |
Posted: 24 May 2021 10:46 PM PDT Hello all, Im a new member, I have done a handful of extract brews over the years, but nothing for 15 years. I am getting back into it with AG BIAB, and will do my 3rd pale ale mash this weekend. Really enjoying the process so far and am looking forward to learning more as I continue with brewing my own. I am a devout Coopers pale ale drinker and am presently trying to get a brew similar drinking to this. I honestly think this is Australia's best commercial beer and feel it would be a great... (BNE) 140L bar fridge (ferment or kegs) Posted: 24 May 2021 01:18 PM PDT Read the spiel below but the tl;dr is: -use with external thermostat -quiet, chills to 2 deg no problem -fit 2 full size cornies or just a 30L plastic fermenter (I think it would also fit a ss brewbucket too) -it's only $30, pick up 4051 Westinghouse RA141S-R bar fridge used for home brew. Will need to use with an external thermostat as internal is broken. Can include a 'mashmaster fridgemate' - haven't calibrated but probe seems to be working (came with the fridge I now have but I have an... (BNE) 140L bar fridge (ferment or kegs) |
