Can't shut of kegland gas cylinder Posted: 06 Jul 2021 09:28 PM PDT Morning team, I don't think my kegland gas bottle is turning off, I have been down in Melbourne for six weeks and I think the gas has been on my beer the whole time. The bottle I used to use had a lot of thread on it but this one only seems to turn about 90 degrees, is that normal? I don't want to force it and break it. |
Posted: 06 Jul 2021 04:16 PM PDT OK so I went to my local brew shop to ask about making a choc stout. The thought was to get some cocao nibs, lactose powder ect but he just grabbed a bottle of this stuff & said this is all you need. Everything you're trying to do with all that stuff is all in the little bottle. I made the brew up last night & if it tastes anything like what it smelled like I'll be a happy man! |
Question about lost sweetness in a tropical stout? Posted: 06 Jul 2021 02:23 PM PDT Hi All, Made a tropical stout which i tasted two weeks after bottling and it was very tasty with a lot of residual sweetness (verging on too much). Anyway, two weeks more and tried it again and all the sweetness was gone?? I measured the FG again and it hadnt changed from when it was bottled (1013). Disappointing as the beer was so tasty with that sweetness. Any ideas why? |
Posted: 06 Jul 2021 02:19 PM PDT For sale is my 20L Braumeister. It is in excellent condition. $1200. Item is located in Mollymook, NSW. It's an older generation, but I have only done about 10 brews in it. I am a brewer by profession, thought I'd do more experimentation with it, but turns out brewing 5 days a week is enough for me. The only issue with it is that both of the handles have come off, just from normal use. I don't find that to be an issue anyway. Liam |

Posted: 06 Jul 2021 12:33 AM PDT Ok I'll kick off with a couple. Did you hear about the masochist who loved to take cold showers so he didn't. .................................................................. Paddy and Seamus had missed the last bus and were walking home at midnight, when they passed the bus depot. A window was open so Paddy hopped in to steal a bus. After much banging and crashing Paddy came back out through the window. "We're out of luck, Seamus, there wasn't a number 153 in there" "Bloody... Continuing Jokes Thread |
